The profession that manages and builds the career of an artist
Artist managers are responsible for planning and coordinating the artists' various activities, such as tours, television appearances, and studio recordings. Often, managers are additionally press spokespersons and overall responsible for their artists' finances. Managers may negotiate fees and royalties on behalf of their artists.
Artist managers need to be determined, social, and able to think and act strategically. They should also have very good business, financial and organizational skills.
